How to Solve a Problem with jos_session ?

Sometimes, you might experience your Joomla session tables going out of wack. This may result in your website displaying nothing but an error message.

jtablesession::Store Failed
DB function failed with error number 1016

Can't open file: 'jos_session.MYI' (errno: 145) SQL=INSERT INTO `jos_session` ( `session_id`,`time`,`username`,`gid`,`guest`,`client_id` ) VALUES ( '4bc998b10d92bf4107976d0edacdbb26','1246725653','','0','1','0' )

Relax, I’ll show you how to fix it!

->> If you have access to phpmyadmin, go to the Joomla database, select the table jos_session (tick the checkbox) and choose “Repair table” from the drop-down you find at the bottom of the list of tables. This has worked for me.

Virtuemart – No translations for product names

in second language I can’t see translation of product names in Category (browse_X) and also of product names in Product Detailed View (flypage) in navigation tab (to move to next or previous product in category) – they are all in main language.
Because there is no solution on the web, I tried to do it myself. For the moment I can offer solution only for problem with product names translation in navigation in detailed product view.
Solution for translation of product names in navigation in flypage
Please get this file ps_product, unpack and copy it to Your shop in directory: \administrator\components\com_virtuemart\classes\ps_product.php, replacing file. I advise to make backup of original file.

How to add new javascript and css files to T3 XML layout?

To add new CSS & JS files you have to edit the default layout of your template (default.xml) and add the following code just after the layout opening tag

<!--Extra css load for this layout-->
<stylesheets>
<file>css/style.css</file>
</stylesheets>
<!--Extra JS load for this layout -->
<scripts>
<file>js/script.js</file>
</scripts>

Note
1- Make sure that the default.xml is your currently selected layout in the profile setings.
2- Make sure that the CSS/JS files that you added to default.xml are already exist in the CSS/JS folders.

Where are listed all other CSS files and Javascripts of the template
The first set of files to be loaded by the template are actually the Framework’s files which are located at
yoursite/plugins/system/jat3/base-themes/default/

The second set of files to be loaded are the files in the root directory of the template
yoursite/templates/your_template/

The last and the highest priority files to be loaded is the template’s theme files
yoursite/templates/your_template/core/themes/your_theme/

Quotes about T3

Definitely T3 has shortened the time of implementing a template and restricted time devoted to CSS modification. The thing is that a good framework makes your work faster and you do not need to waste your time on doing the same things repeatedly.

[By using T3 Framework] I am focused on design instead of doing everything from beginning.

T3 makes me forget writing the whole HTML grid structure and most of the CSS part. Adding CSS and JavaScript files is very easy.
[Our clients] like the way they could move the columns around.
